DEATH PENALTY FOR THE MENTALLY HANDICAPPED?

THE DEATH PENALTY! Getting the electric chair, getting hanged, becoming decapitated, and enduring a painful injection. What horrible ways for people to die. I don’t believe people should die, because it’s wrong to take someone’s life. But, if the person committed an anise crime, then they should suffer the consequences. Like an eye for an eye, or treat people the way you want to be treated. However, I don’t believe that the mentally handicapped should endure the death penalty. Reasons being, their brains aren’t that well developed; they have the brains of a toddler or baby. Mentally handicap people sometimes don’t realize the actions they commit are either bad or good. The judge or jury should give a little leeway when deciding the death penalty the mentally handicapped. Since it would be horrific to give the death penalty to them, they should be sentenced to community service. Families or love ones close to a person who died because of a mentally handicap person, would want that mentally handicap person to suffer. But really, come on! Give them a break. Their brains aren’t that well equipped. I know that they committed a horrible crime, but would you really want to kill toddler?

MY RESPONSE TO THE OBAMA WIN!

Many days have passed since Obama had been elected President!  There have been many different reactions to that historical moment.  Mine and my family's were extreme excitement.  We were shedding tears, we were hugging each other, and praying for deceased family members that were unable to witness that moment.  My parents kept repeating over and over, "OMG! I can't believe I was able to witness this in my lifetime"!  Yup!  They were unbelievably overwhelmed.  On the night of the election, my family stayed up watching it.  At 10:45 my brother and I were told to go to bed.  I told my mom to wake me up "if" Obama wins.  My dad was watching the election in my parents bedroom, and my mother was watching the election in our living room.  At 11:15, I heard my mother burst into my room.  There wer teas rolling down her cheeks.  I thought the worst of the outcome and that Obama had lost the election.  Except, for the giveaway smile on my mother's face.  I couldn't believe Obama had won!  I had to see this miracle for myself.  I followed my mother back downstairs, and right across our TV screen were the words: Obama Elected President.  I was shocked and speechless.  The first thoughts were: OMG!  I just witnessed history in the making!  After that night, my mother started making a scrapbook, and telling me to write everything leading up the election, and the election night in my diary.  Many people can't understand why African Americans acted a certain way on Election Night.  Some of my classmates said, "Obama is just another person in the White House"! Wrong!  He is the first "African American" elected President of the USA!  I mean, when I walk down the hall, of course you are going to see me as another person walking down the hall.  But the first thing that crosses your mind, whether you are aware of it or not, is the fact that I am! An African American! No doubt about it.  I would like to explain more, but I can't.  No matter how many times I would try to explain how that night meant to so many African Americans, many people would still not truly understand the significance of that night. God Almighty, I wish they could..........................

AMERICAN DREAM…………………

I want to be a PEDIATRICION! Why? They make a ton of money! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! I LOVE THIS SONG! YEAH! Anyway, I want money! And money gets you a lot of nice things. What I also like about money is it smells nice, you can burn it for a sweet aroma, you can use it to make clothing, you can throw it at people (because you have plenty more left), you can tape it to a tree (so it becomes a money tree), and you can bribe people with it (so that they do stuff for you). YEAH MONEY! Another reason why I want to become a pediatrician is the fact that I love working with children. I find that children are easier to work with. Generally, pediatricians focus on babies, children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age 21 years. Plus, I love to help people. To become a pediatrician, I will have to go to school for 11 years, and probably more. During school, I need to be familiar with cardiology, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and many more. So becoming a pediatrician is hard work. Most importantly, I need to be a critical thinker, active listener, active learner, be able to read and comprehend, and have social perceptiveness. I also have to have theses abilities: inductive reasoning, oral comprehension, oral expression, problem sensitivity, and written comprehension. That’s why I am trying to be dedicated to becoming one. The fact that I have to go to school for that long after collage, makes me rethink a career as pediatrician. But, I know that if I want to achieve that occupation, I have to go to school for a long time. As well do excellent in school so that I can go to a great College. In the future, I may prevent this from happening, by finding another occupation that pays well, but you don’t have to school that long. I really want to become a pediatrician, so I can live “The Good Life! And help others of course………………………………………MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!
